Operation Gazebo

Operation Gazebo!!
So in June I purchased a gazebo off of Kijiji for $50.00. Now the question was, how do I install it? I have never seen it done before. I figure it can't be too hard so I all upon my sisters (not by blood but by choice) to come help me out :)

Christie and I - photo shoot prior to getting started. What can I say....we are picture junkies :)
Gathered all the necessary supplies. We didn't have safety goggles so swimming goggles would have to do. I have no idea where I got the hard hat from but good thing I have it...this could get dangerous!!

Hmmmm....this looks a little more complicated than I thought

Maybe Jess can help

we figured this would probably be the most important tool

Turns out this was :)

Probably giving these two wine before starting was not a good idea

Hmmm.....lots of little pieces, hope we don't lose any!!

And so it starts...Operation Gazebo underway :)

Notice how Jess has a glass of wine in her hand through out most of the operation

Or sitting right beside her...its never far
*Notice she has the entire bottle beside her now as well

                                                       Our Foreman Deb....safety first!!!

Quick break...so far so good!!

Now for the more difficult part..the roof
*Note...Jess still carrying the wine glass

I guess our foreman has better things to do...like texting!
                                                                  (probably a boy :)

*Note...Jess still carrying the wine glass

Somethings not right.....our foreman inspects

                                                                     Ooops...my bad

Putting the cover on, none of us are too tall so we enlisted the help of brooms (I knew they were good for something!! :)

Almost done!!!!

Screwing it into the deck...good call Connie!! But why aren't you using the drill?

Girl Power!!!

Time to feed everyone :)

                                                                     and coffee time

Probably not a good idea to let the kids play with the power tools

Time to eat :)

                                                                    Great job ladies!!!!

The finished product :)

  1. It turned out really nice and looks like a great place to entertain. I have been wanting one in my backyard for sometime...maybe next summer.

  2. The butterfly gazebo from Bizarkdeal features a high-quality, durable steel build and UV/weather-resistant polyester outdoor fabric. Perfect fit, very well made, heavy material. Waterproof. It's been through some pretty heavy storms so far this summer, no signs of tears or rips. I just cannot keep quiet and do not recommend this product!
